Welcome to the St. Francis de Sales High School “Get to Know SFDS” page! We are a small, personal, individualized Catholic School on the Southeast Side of Chicago. Although the school has been here a long time (almost 90 years), we are young at heart, understanding, encouraging and challenging students to “be who they are and be it well” or in today’s terms — to define themself at St. Francis de Sales!

Here are just a few things that define us:

• Student Centered: We know you! You are the center of core of what we do!

• Academic Excellence: We believe in you! We know you have a world of choices through hard work and opportunities!

• Equity: We eliminate barriers to ensure equitable outcomes. Our Work Study Program is just one example of this — read about it here!

• Community Driven: Our school is an extension of our community. We need to work, serve and grow together. Just drive by on the third Saturday and you will see us at work!
